How about a 50 mile walk?

The better half of Pellet Envy is in this picture of people who walked fifty miles in three days last May. Their cause, to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. For the second year, Sheri and her team will participate in this event here in Kansas City. Her younger sister Kim was diagnosed with MS about four years ago. This disease effects the nervous system, and early on can come and go without warning. Science is beginning to understand what MS does, but it is still a mystery as to the cause. There is no cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Luckily, so far the effects of the disease have not significantly impacted Kim. Well, not yet anyway, or should I say, not to us that are not in her very immediate family.

Last year, this Kansas City walk raised $300,000 to help find a cure. Sheri and Kim's ten person team alone raised $20,000. It's been most of a year since the 2007 walk. Long enough for the team to forget all of the aches, pains, and blisters. So, they're at it again this May. And, every person who walks must raise $1,500 minimum. As they did last year, team Curb Appeal will host a party to help raise funds for their long walk. This year it's in Lenexa on April 11th. And again this year, the folks will dine on award winning barbeque cooked by the team Pellet Envy with help from many others. The event will feature the music of Jason Jones and offer adult beverages as well. It's going to be a festive evening. We'd love to see our friends there, so please come join us.
