Old School wins Athens, Alabama

Congrats to Johnny Trigg of Smokin' Triggers, my partner in the Old School versus High Tech cooking classes, on his win in Athens, Alabama this past weekend. Traveling alone on his way back from the Salisbury, Maryland where he finished 6th last weekend, Mr. Trigg stopped off in Alabama to cook this first year event. It's been said that Johnny doesn't cook well when he's without his bride Ms. Trish and the Taj maTrig, a 40' land yacht, but it look like the old fart still has a little fight in him. In fact, his last two wins have been when he's cooked under a canopy by himself. Besting the field of approximately 35 teams, Johnny placed top five in three categories, including a win in the Pork Rib category. Also, congrats to Ron and Nancy Montgomery of Team Top Chick on their Reserve Grand Champion finish in Athens.

Johnny Trigg will teach the exact recipes used to win Athens, Alabama in full detail at our next Old School versus High Tech cooking class in the greater Kansas City area on May 30th & 31st. Seating is limited and the class is almost full, so don't procrastinate in getting your information in for this event.
